You can’t miss Gunner when he walks into a room. He weighs over 150 pounds! At 3 years old, he will require a focused outlet for his energy. He is very loyal and loving with his adult family members, but will need a home with no young children. He gets along with his canine siblings, but can be aggressive toward other dogs if introductions are not properly handled. In the right hands, this can be overcome. But he is not likely to be the dog park type. He has a strong prey drive, so a home with a fence and no small animals would be best. Gunner sits on command and is working on down. Because of Gunner’s strength, size, and protective nature, he will need a strong handler who isn’t afraid of discipline. He will need a family committed to continuing his training. KGDR has support and resources available for his adopters. Gunner will thrive in the right situation. He will be a loving and loyal companion for the right family. Gunner is neutered and UTD. Bella is an energetic 18 month-old looking for her forever home. She was timid & frightened in the beginning, but has become a whole new pup in her foster home. She loves to cuddle, although doesn’t realize how big she is when she lays in your lap. She is housebroken and crate trained, and should be crated if left alone for long periods of time as she has been known to eat a shoe or two when bored. Bella loves the outdoors, playing fetch (although she doesn’t bring it back to you all the time), and running laps. Some of Bella’s favorite things are playing in the pond and finding the absolute largest stick she can. This girl is very fast and loves to run! She loves to play with her canine foster sibling, but becomes a couch potato after dinner. She knows a few commands, such as “sit” and “shake.” She walks very well on a leash, and is generally social, yet still a bit timid around new people and the cat is a little wary of her attention. Bella will be a wonderful addition to your family. Bella has been spayed and is UTD. Apply to adopt Bella here!
This handsome guy is Titus. Titus is a 12 month-old puppy who plays hard and naps even harder. Titus needs a lot of attention, a lot of love, and a lot of redirection. He loves to play and work for treats but he will test the boundaries every chance he gets. He needs a family who will take the flip flop out of his mouth, tell him nice try, and redirect him to his frozen peanut butter Kong. Titus is fully house trained and crate trained. He sleeps well alone in his crate in a living room but he would probably like to sleep in the crate in your room or even possibly on your bed. Titus is still anxious and fearful of many things. He will need a family that will take him to dog training classes and who will commit to making sure that he gets the exercise he needs every day. He likes to roughhouse with other dogs, so he will do best with younger dogs or as an only dog. He has only seen cats at the vet and wasn’t sure of what to think. He came from a home with kids and is being fostered in a home with kids so as long as your children are able to stand their ground with a big canine who steals their stuffed animals when they leave them laying, around then everything will be great. He has not been aggressive but he could accidentally hurt smaller children with his goofy rambunctiousness. He is neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Apply to adopt Titus here!
Sully is a 3-5 year old Great Dane/Lab mix. He is a super sweet boy who will need an experienced owner who will be patient with him as he learns his manners; he jumps when he gets excited and likes to paw when he is getting loved on but responds very well to gentle redirection and treats. He is completely potty trained and knows all of the basic commands. He is very good about coming when he is called. He gets very excited to spend time outside and loves playing with other dogs but be careful because he likes to jump into the cow pasture to play with the cows, so you probably should have a higher fence. He would do best in a home without cats – he likes to chase them, but he responds well when told no. In the home he can be independent and doesn’t need to be right next to you all the time but he also loves attention. He is a little weary of new situations but he looks to his people for courage. He doesn’t get up on furniture and in the home is very calm, but when allowed to play has lots of energy. He is neutered and UTD. Apply to adopt Sully here!
“Beautiful” is what comes to mind when you meet Charlie. She is a 7 year-old spunky, sensitive, and lovable girl. She takes a minute to warm up to you but once she feels comfortable around you she will always be by your side. In her mind a human hand should always be petting her. Her ideal home would be with someone who is home a lot and can spend time with her. She really likes human companionship but would do best around adults and not small children. She also prefers to be the the only dog, and does not like female dogs. She is being fostered with two male dogs and seems to like them. Charlie LOVES car rides and walks. Her favorite toys are the squeaky kind and she enjoys chewing on moose antlers in her spare time. She’s a lover of being outside and is a great protector of her home. Could you be that perfect home for Charlie? Don’t let her age fool you, she has a lot spunk left and will make someone an excellent companion. She is spayed and UTD. Apply to adopt Charlie (female) here!
Charlie is a 13 month old male with a fun, loving personality! He warms up quickly to strangers and loves meeting new dogs to play with. He is a playful, energetic pup who quickly picks up on commands and instruction, but as a puppy, he will need further training and direction. Some of Charlie’s favorite things is going for walks & car rides, playing tug-of-war, chasing tennis balls and playing with his boxer/lab sister, Molly. Since he is an active puppy, it is best he is in a home with other animals who also love playing as much as he does! But he would do great in a home with no animals, since he loves getting all of your attention! He does enjoy being a couch potato once he plays all day and snuggle up with you! Charlie is very well behaved and is housebroken and crate trained. He LOVES food and sometimes doesn’t like when other dogs try to sniff him when he eats, so it is best to feed him & other animals apart. He is very affectionate and will let you know when he wants some loving! He likes cats, and he loves kids, but he can play a little rough, so we encourage teenagers & adults for him! Charlie has been neutered and is UTD. Apply to adopt Charlie here!
Pebbles, or pebbs for short, is a 6 year old spunky gal looking for her spot next to your bed and in your heart. Pebbles is phenomenal with dogs of all sizes and energies. She may be six but that doesn’t slow her down when it comes to puppy play time. Pebbles adores children and is very gentle and well mannered. She quickly settles in and isn’t afraid to protect her new family to all those noises and movements in the world beyond the house. Pebbles enjoys walks as well as water play with the hose. Pebbles loves her tug ropes and can entertain herself for hours! Pebbles is a sensitive beauty looking for a couch to call her own. If you’re looking for a dog who can adjust to almost anything while keeping you laughing with her silly antics considering adding pebbles to your family ❤️. Pebbles has been spayed and is UTD. A true rescue, Kat has experienced the ugly side of humanity. After 3 long months of physical and mental healing she is now available for adoption. She will be best suited in a home without men. Not to say that she can’t go to a home with a man but the man will have to be patient, firm and understanding of her needs. She can’t be pet enough, will cuddle you on the couch or even in your lap if you allow it. She loves getting zoomies in the back yard and loves her foster brothers, even though they think she’s big and silly. She has responded well to verbal commands and has been easy on a leash. Due to her history she is scared if sudden movements and loud noises. Kat is sweet and just wants to be loved. She is spayed and UTD. Apply to adopt Kat here!
