These beauties are all waiting on their forever homes! They live as indoor pets in foster homes until their adoption day.
Don’t worry, Maggie is not in that cage anymore. She is experiencing couch life for the first time and is quite happy with it! Maggie lives in a foster home while she waits to be adopted. She is between 6 and 8 years old, surprisingly has not had accidents in the house despite living most of her life outside. She is good with other dogs and kids. She has gained about 20 pounds since being removed from that horrible pen but still needs about 15 more.
No cats please. She is a relentless cat chaser lol
She really deserves a life of pampering to make up for the abuse she endured. Maggie is a pure-bred Fawn Great Dane. Apply to adopt Maggie HERE
Quincy was born on July 4th, 2011 but he has the energy, strength, and stamina of a puppy. He was surrendered because the owner worked too much, he was only getting a 5-10 minute walk 3 times a day. He lived in a home with children and a Yorkie, he is house-trained (goes to the door and lets you know he has to go) and crate trained (he hasn’t been crated since he was a puppy so he’s having to readjust – normally they left him in a room when they were gone.) Does well in the car. He knows "sit" and "woah" (to keep him from pulling) but he’s non-compliant. Nice dog overall but definitely needs some training because he won’t recall (runs like a crazy person) and he knows his strength. Will know more about him over time.
As of 1-12-16 he is neutered and had a gastropexy (stomach tack). Apply to adopt Quincy HERE
My name is Elsa, I am 10 months old. I was born into KGDR when my mother Rose came in as a rescue and they discovered shortly after she was pregnant with me and 6 siblings. I was adopted at 3 months old. Sadly, I returned to KGDR recently due to my new mom becoming ill. As you can tell by looking into my sad eyes transitioning has been difficult. I am a very shy girl. When I meet new people I tuck my tail and hide. I don’t know why I’m this way, I believe I just needed more socialization. I am sweet and smart, I already know sit and down. I am housebroken and crate trained. I am still a puppy and love to do puppy things like chew on interesting things, but with time I will grow out of that too. I ask whoever has a heart big enough to want to let me in, that you understand me. I need a lot of love and someone with patience. When we first meet know I’m afraid but it’s nothing against you. I like kids. Sometimes their quick movements make me duck or run the other way but I’m getting better every day and I attempt to play with them. I play with the adults now and I’m having fun. I do want to find that perfect home with the perfect family. I want to be a perfect dog and companion. Apply for Elsa HERE
