Wish is a female, pure-bred, Great Dane, about 21 months old. She is deaf but sees well. She will wait patiently for her food or to take a treat. She is crate trained and socialized by her wonderful foster mom, but nothing beats a forever home. Wish is adoptable as an indoor family member only.
From her foster mom: Wish is one of the most loving dogs I’ve met. She would rather cuddle and be pet than play. She becomes very attached to the people she lives with and is always by your side. She is doing very well with crate training and is potty trained. She is learning doggie sign language; and knows how to sit, give you her paw and is working on Down. She sits and waits for her food and will sit for you to pet her.” She walks perfectly on the leash with her training collar. As of now, she would do best in a home with no other dogs. Wish, and the home, would be far better off in a single dog household. It would take an advanced handler, who would want to pursue advanced training to make the multidog home work well for Wish, and the home. The current foster is such a person, so it works for Wish. Average Dane owners, not so much. She is spayed and UTD on vaccines and preventatives. Wish’s adoption fee is $250. Bluegrass Barkery in Lexington has gifted Wish’s future adopter with a $150 credit toward anything in the store! Apply to adopt Wish.
Zuri is a 12 month-old, pure-bred, blue Great Dane. She came to us with a badly deformed leg which was amputated in March. She is beautiful and so capable! You should see this baby run upstairs. Her foster parents are working with her and already making good progress with Sit, Stay, and Heel, among other commands. She is very very sweet and playful. She plays rough, so an older dog buddy would not appreciate her. She is spayed and UTD with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $250. She is adoptable as an indoor family member only. Apply to adopt Zuri.
